5 Red-Line-Stationen werden am 1. Juni für Sommerbaustellen geschlossen

Washington D.C. – Pendler, die die Red Line der Washington Metro nutzen, sollten sich auf Änderungen im Fahrplan einstellen. Ab dem 1. Juni werden fünf Stationen der Red Line für Bauarbeiten geschlossen.

Die betroffenen Stationen sind Rhode Island Avenue, Brookland, Fort Totten, Takoma und Silver Spring. Laut Metro wird die Schließung voraussichtlich bis zum 6. September dauern.

Während dieser Zeit werden Bauteams an wichtiger Infrastruktur arbeiten, um die Zuverlässigkeit und Effizienz des Schienennetzes zu verbessern. Die Pendler werden gebeten, alternative Transportmöglichkeiten in Betracht zu ziehen und sich auf mögliche Verzögerungen vorzubereiten.

Die Metro hat bereits Bus-Shuttles eingerichtet, um die betroffenen Stationen zu umgehen. Reisende werden gebeten, regelmäßig die Website der Metro zu überprüfen, um aktuelle Informationen über Bauarbeiten und Fahrplanänderungen zu erhalten.
