Die Nachbarschaft hat beschlossen, diesem Tag zu ehren, an dem die Statue des Holocaust-Überlebenden Elie Wiesel im Sixth and I Historic Synagogue aufgestellt wurde. Die Statue soll an die Grausamkeiten erinnern, die während des Holocausts stattgefunden haben, und die Besucher dazu ermutigen, sich gegen Hass und Intoleranz einzusetzen.
